These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sasono Prepaid Card and/or Vouchers (collective the “Product”), issued and operated by Sason Finance Ltd, a company incorporated under the laws of Canada. By purchasing, using, or redeeming the Product, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Product.
1. Scope and Applicability
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of all Sasono prepaid cards and associated services (“Products”) issued by Sason Finance Ltd. (“Sasono”), a company registered in Canada and authorized to operate as a Money Services Business (MSB) under the regulatory supervision of FINTRAC. These Terms apply to all natural persons (“Consumers”) and legal persons (“Merchants”) who use, purchase, distribute, accept, or redeem Sasono prepaid cards.
By purchasing, accepting, or redeeming a Sasono prepaid card, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Product.
2. Product Description
The Sasono prepaid card is a digital or physical prepaid instrument that may be used as payment for goods or services with participating merchants that accept the Sasono payment method. The Product is not a credit card, debit card, or bank account and does not offer any form of credit.
Sasono prepaid cards are denominated in EUR and represent a one-time, non-reloadable prepaid value. They can be used only once and only up to the face value printed or displayed on the card. The card cannot be topped up, and no interest is paid on the stored value.
3. Purchase and Activation
Sasono prepaid cards may be purchased online or from authorized retail partners, subject to successful customer verification. The purchase of prepaid cards may require identity verification, depending on the total value purchased and applicable laws. Sasono reserves the right to reject any transaction or purchase at its sole discretion, especially where there are signs of misuse, fraud, or violation of applicable law.
Activation of the card may be automatic upon purchase or may require manual entry via the website or third-party interface. Upon activation, the card becomes valid for use within the limitations set out in these Terms.
4. Usage Restrictions
Sasono prepaid cards may only be used with merchants who have entered into an acceptance agreement with Sasono. Sasono does not guarantee that a specific merchant will accept the card at any given time. Cards must be used within the validity period printed or displayed at the time of purchase. Unless otherwise noted, cards expires 12 months from the date of purchase. Expired cards cannot be redeemed, and unused balances will not be refunded unless required by applicable law.
The prepaid card may not be used for illegal purposes, including but not limited to the purchase of prohibited goods, money laundering, terrorist financing, or any activity that violates sanctions or financial regulations. Users must not resell or transfer cards unless explicitly authorized in writing by Sasono.
Keep your Product and associated PIN or code secure. Do not share your PIN or code with anyone. If your Product is lost, stolen, or otherwise compromised, you must notify the Issuer immediately. The Issuer is not liable for unauthorized transactions unless required by law.
5. Refunds and Cancellations
The purchase of a Sasono prepaid card is non-refundable, except where otherwise required by law. Once activated or used, the card cannot be returned, cancelled, or exchanged. Sasono may, at its own discretion, refund or deactivate a card if there is a valid legal or regulatory reason, or if the cardholder has breached these Terms. In such cases, Sasono may withhold part or all of the balance to cover administrative, legal, or regulatory costs.
6. Right to Refuse Redemption
Sasono reserves the right to refuse redemption or acceptance of a prepaid card at any time and without prior notice if:
- The cardholder is found to be in breach of these Terms;
- The cardholder has provided false or misleading information;
- The card is believed to be stolen, duplicated, or fraudulently obtained;
- The redemption would be in violation of applicable laws or regulations;
- The card is being used in a sanctioned jurisdiction or for a prohibited transaction;
- Sasono, at its sole discretion, determines that the redemption poses a risk to its compliance, financial, or reputational integrity.
Such decisions are final and not subject to appeal, unless otherwise provided under applicable law.

As a regulated Money Services Business, Sasono is legally obligated to implement robust Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures in accordance with Canada’s Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA), FINTRAC guidelines, and—where applicable—EU AML Directives.
